Privacy notice

In short

• We only process the data you send us via the form or by email.
• We only use your data to reply to you, to prepare a quote or to arrange the demo.
• We keep your enquiry for no more than 30 days, then delete it.
• We only use an analytics cookie (Google Analytics) if you consent. There is no advertising tracking code on the site.

This notice applies to the hostaid.hu website, the forms on it and emails sent to hello@hostaid.hu.

What data, for what purpose and for how long?

Quote requests, demo requests or messages via the forms on this site or by email:

• Data: name, email address, phone number, details of the accommodation, condominium or property (for example address, size, capacity), your message and any photos you attach.
• Purpose: to reply to you, give you a quote or arrange the demo.
• Legal basis: for quote and demo requests, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for general questions, our legitimate interest in being able to reply (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention: no more than 30 days, after which we delete it.

If your enquiry leads to a contract, we keep the data needed for the contract for the term of the contract and afterwards for the period required by law (for example the Hungarian Accounting Act).

Abuse protection on the form:

• Data: a code derived from your IP address and the time of submission. This shows us when too many messages arrive from one address.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our mailbox (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention: after 10 minutes we no longer use it, and it is deleted with the next submission.

Technical log:

• For the operation and security of the server, the hosting provider logs requests (IP address, time, URL opened, browser). We do not use this to identify visitors.
• Retention: in accordance with the hosting provider's rules.

Cookies and external providers

Fonts and icons load from our own server. There is no advertising or social media tracking code on the site. Data only reaches an external provider if you consent to analytics.

Analytics (Google Analytics):

• Data: pseudonymised usage data (pages opened, time spent on the site, browser and device type, approximate country and city, where you came from) and a random identifier in the cookies starting with _ga. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
• Purpose: to see which pages people read and what we need to improve. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
• Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). The tracking code and the cookie only load if you choose “Accept” in the bar at the bottom of the page.
• Retention: the cookies stay in your browser for no more than 2 years, and Google Analytics keeps the data for no more than 14 months.
• Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the page, and we then delete the cookies. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier measurement.

We store your cookie choice and the net/gross price switch setting in your browser's local storage. They never reach us, and you can delete them from your browser at any time.

Who can access your data?

Only those of our staff who handle your enquiry. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it on to anyone for advertising purposes.

The data may also be transferred to the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer takes place with adequate safeguards.

Data security

The site and the form only work over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The data you send can only be accessed by those of our staff who need it to handle your enquiry.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what data of yours we process and give you a copy of it;
• correct any inaccurate data;
• erase your data or restrict its processing;
• hand over the data you provided to us in a machine-readable format;
• stop processing your data where we process it on the basis of our legitimate interest (objection).

You can send your request to hello@hostaid.hu. We will reply within one month at the latest.

If you have a complaint

Please write to us first so we can sort it out. You can also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or go to court; you can also bring the case before the regional court of your place of residence.
